My Trip to Penang Day 2 - Hike Up Penang Hill (Part 2)

Latest Update on 05 June 2008: Boss applied broadband for the office~ Hence I think I might be able to blog a little often~ Can do during breaks/freetime~ =D

Continuing from previous entry~ Wanna get done and over with.. Will have lots of pictures~ =)

This entry will be about my hike up the Penang Hill~ This is my first time up even though I go Penang often... Hiking up Penang Hill is a MUST for my parents whenever they are there...

Set off at 630am... So early... But there is a wedding car outside the hotel~ LUCKY~ =D

There are lots of people before us~

My relatives including my family (parents, me & younger sis) met up to climb up the hill~ So all together there are 11 of us~

PLEASE MAKE A GUESS HOW MANY OF US MAKE IT TO THE TOP?!

Basically the climb up is like walking up a 45 degree or 60-70 degree slope for some more extreme places... And you have to walk for like maybe around 4 km? I felt it was around 6km... *Cough* I dun know which BUT I WALKED FOR 2 HOURS...

Sadly I wasnt skillful enough to take a picture to show its steepness...

Did I mention? Some actually cycle up! It is really difficult coz the slope is very steep, so they have to cycle zig-zag to maybe save energy? And prevent themselves from sliding back! This guy made it to the top! PRO!!!

I personally think that cycle is more difficult than walking!

Well well the surroundings are quite nice~

Also took pictures of stuff I thought is interesting and mess round with the camera function a little~ =P

I call this the creepy abandoned chair~

I shall call this the lonely isolated room? =P Well it is a toilet actually~ *Cough Cough*

Actually din see this initially, my father pointed it out to me~ And they are cool with me taking pictures of dead stuff already I think~ Hehe~

I AM REALLY VERY VERY LUCKY TO SEE THIS REALLY COOL ANIMAL? I dunnoe what it is called but it is REALLY REALLY VERY CUTE AND PRETTY! The tail is so long~ It is so furry and small! I even manage to take a picture of it~ Lucky girl I am that day~

MUMMY I WANT THAT AS A PET!! *Ignores Kira*

Thought I FINALLY REACH THE TOP? But very much to my disappointment... There is still like around 1-2km... (-.-)|| Bluff me...

Still a LONG LONG WAY TO GO... No more man-made roads...

A huge house out of nowhere! I heard it is very big inside!


I thought that this plant is rather pretty and big~

& FINALLY!! The LAST REMAINING 4 WHO MADE IT!! WOOHOO~! No prize though... Including me~ My mother din thought I can make it~ BUT I DID~!

I was initially sports type of person one k? Just that I injured myself... Even my younger sis din manage to make it... But she is sick so no choice... She almost made it though~

If you are thinking for those who din make it, how did they go up?

They took a ride from those who drive up on the way~

The well known garbage truck who bring those who cant make it up~ But I dun see any garbage on it... Weird..

However the garbage truck is late and FULL... So they took a passing by car...

What is best after the long tedious walk! Food~ =P

Ice Kachang~ (T.T) I cant eat... But I secretly squeeze in two spoons into my mouth~ =P Very nice~

Nasi Lemak which I din eat either.. (-.-) But I also secretly squeezed in 2 spoons~ Not too bad~ Maybe I am just hungry... Rice is a little tough though...

Was taking random pictures and my sis saw this store that make tattoo... Reminded her of Miami Ink... (-.-) Tried to take a pic but the person was stopping me so as you can see... Hehe~ The more she dun want me to take, the more I will post the picture!

But her designs isnt that great anyway... I am a meanie~

Oh not forgetting a rather fierce Monkey~ Please call it the Monkey King~ Wanted to go closer but heard it is aggressive... I risked my life to take this pic~ =P

So after a short break from my success in CONQUERING the hill *Cough* Time to go down~ Of course I did not walk down the hill... Walking down such steep slopes is bad for the knees~!

Who say one? I say one! =P Well I think I did heard it from somewhere anyway~

HOWEVER!! It is crowded and is not airconditioned... Talk about saving the Earth... (-.-)

I am so happy I did it~ I was in a good condition that day~ =D Not sure I will do it again if I go though... Haha~ Coz I din feel any of my fats being melted... Boooo~

Instead I felt that I am darker by a few tones because of the sun even though I PUT ON LOADS OF SUNBLOCK... SHIT... No more sun for 1 year....

Wow I din realise I actually took that many picture just a short hike up the hill... Quite interesting ne~

Mission acccomplished! I still got loads of pictures to load~ Might not load the graduation pictures coz I feel so sick just seeing my face in it... *PUKE* So dun request from me either... If I am in a good mood and like you alot I will pass it to you...
